{"id":5025,"date":"2020-06-24T15:41:55","date_gmt":"2020-06-24T13:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clone.cwms1.dm-c.it\/?p=5025"},"modified":"2022-05-12T14:08:16","modified_gmt":"2022-05-12T12:08:16","slug":"andrea-gumina-is-the-new-president-of-amerigo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dm-c.it\/2020\/06\/andrea-gumina-is-the-new-president-of-amerigo\/","title":{"rendered":"Andrea Gumina is the new President of Amerigo"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The economist Andrea Gumina, 43 years old, is the new President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.associazioneamerigo.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amerigo<\/a>, the association that brings together Italian alumni of the International Cultural Exchange Programs of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">U.S. Department of State <\/a>(Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs) including Fulbright, International Visitor Leadership Program, Eisenhower Fellows and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was appointed by unanimous vote of the Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He received his Degree (Laurea) in Economics in 2001 (at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luiss.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Luiss Guido Carli<\/a> University of Rome), awarded his MA in Ethics in 2004 (at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pul.it\/en\/\">Pontificia Universit\u00e0 Lateranense<\/a> in Rome) and finally his Ph.D. in History and Thoughts of Economics in 2006 (at Luiss Guido Carli University), where he spent four other years as a Research Fellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently he is Senior expert for the support in dealing with issues related to the implementation of activities related to the theme of policies in favour of the internationalization of the Italian production sector and the attraction of investments of Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of his responsibilities, he has been appointed as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Economic Counsellor at the Cabinet Office of the Italian Minister of Economic Development, advising on innovative industrial policies for Smarter Cities, Start-Ups, Smart Factories (Industry 4.0).<\/li><li>Italian Expert of G20 Task Force on Digital Economy<\/li><li>Member of the Investors\u2019 Committee of Invitalia Ventures<\/li><li>Member of the Italian Ministerial Task Force for Smarter Cities<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Association, founded in 2007, has always been committed to promoting transatlantic relations through projects carried out in collaboration with the United States Diplomatic Mission in Italy, such as the Amerigo Journalism Award and the Four Freedoms Literary Award, as well as promoting numerous initiatives with prestigious Italian and American partners. These include Amerigo for Law, a highly specialized program in the legal field that the Association carries out every year in collaboration with the School of Law at Fordham University and Fulbright and the International Visitor Leadership Program, which for over sixty years has offered emerging figures in politics, society, the media and the economy around the world the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the American reality through visits and professional exchanges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Amerigo Association brings together Italian alumni from international exchange programs promoted by the U.S. Department of State.
